Wind Phone at Ball’s Falls

In the midst of nature at Ball’s Falls Conservation Area, along the Cataract Trail near Twenty Mile Creek, stands the Wind Phone, created by Hospice Niagara in partnership with Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority. The phone is situated between the footbridge and Upper Falls — in a place where the sound of the water and the forest naturally create a sense of seclusion.

The phone is not connected to anything. Visitors can simply pick up the receiver, even dial a familiar number, and let their thoughts and words mingle with the sound of the waterfall and the wind.
